Indiana women-owned businesses should submit interest by April 4
INDIANAPOLIS (March 25, 2025) – Women business owners in Indiana can receive help earning their Women Business Enterprise certification as part of the 25 In 25 All-Star Initiative, the WNBA All-Star 2025 Host Committee announced today.
The initiative seeks to create lasting economic impact beyond AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025, which is set for July 18-19 in Indianapolis, and provide support and mentorship to 25 local entrepreneurs and help them navigate the WBE certification process. The certification verifies that a business is at least 51% led, owned and controlled by women, which can elevate visibility with public and private organizations looking to expand their suppliers and procurement partnerships.
“Our goal is to use the excitement and energy behind WNBA All-Star 2025 to engage and empower women business owners here in Indiana,” said Tracy Ellis-Ward, WNBA All-Star 2025 Host Committee Legacy staff lead and senior vice president for diversity, equity and inclusion at Pacers Sports & Entertainment. “By obtaining their certification, entrepreneurs will not only have more visibility but more access to resources and opportunities that can take their business to the next level.”
Women business owners interested in participating in the 25 In 25 All-Star Initiative should send an email to supplierdiversity@pacers.com by 5 p.m. on April 4. Those selected will have an opportunity to attend an informational session in the coming months with an opportunity to earn their certification by July. Additional workshops for participants will be offered to enhance business development and growth.
Through the 25 In 25 All-Star Initiative, the host committee partnered with the Office of Minority and Women Business Development in Indianapolis, the Indiana Department of Administration’s Division of Supplier Diversity, and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council to help expedite the review and approval process. SOAR Consulting LLC, an M/WBE business, will work with each company to coach, assess and help them prepare for the application process.
